The holiday spirit is alive and well in the Frost house! We have had our shopping done for quite some time now, our cards have been delivered, our house was decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving and the kids have seen Santa on numerous occasions. Our story is that Santa has many helpers, but sometimes he comes down from the North Pole himself so you never know which Santa is the real one. We also tell them that the helpers tell Santa everything they see and hear so they have to listen to what each one says to them. Of course now they know that David is a "Santa helper" because he played Santa at Nathan's school so they think they are in good with Santa because their dad is in tight with the man in the red suit. I'm just happy that Nathan is about to turn 10 and he still believes, honestly, I wish I did still! This week we went to the South Park Library and saw Mrs. Claus, she is fabulous! She tells unique stories about Santa, Christmas, and the North Pole that only Mrs. Claus would know about. It is a great time for the kids. She even lets the kids ask her questions, and the quote "kids say the darnedest things" comes to mind. The questions they ask are hilarious. We were especially proud of Kadence this year because she was brave and confident enough to raise her hand so she could get up in front of everyone and ask Mrs. Claus a question. Her speech has gotten so much better, and Mrs. Claus didn't have any problem understanding her. Her question was, "Why does Santa like cookies so much?". Mrs. Claus said it's because she doesn't allow him to eat sweets at the North Pole because she already had to move his buttons over twice because his belly was getting bigger. So at Christmas time, he loves getting cookies because she isn't there to tell him no.
We went to The Clubhouse on Saturday for Lunch with Santa. The kids had a great time, and they had plenty of their friends there to play with and eat lunch with too. Santa gave out stuffed animals as a pre-Christmas gifts, along with mugs to color, and bell necklaces that light up. Kadence was in her glory! On the way home we saw Santa getting a lay of the land via Firetruck, he even stopped at our house to say hello and give the kids a lollipop. Now they are confident he knows where they live.

This is Chip, The Clubhouse's mascot, he was helping Santa and playing games with the kids.
