So much going on...

We have been so busy lately! The summer is definitely kicking into full swing! Our neighbors had a graduation party for their daughter so we went and had a good time just hanging out with most of our neighbors. We have been so lucky to have such great neighbors, it so nice to live in a community that is so tight knit. Everyone is getting excited about our now annual Block Party that David and I helped host last year. They say it takes a village to raise a child, well thank goodness we picked such a great village to call home! Nathan has finished his Spring Ball Baseball Season, it was a winning season and the boys have improved so much this year. It must be the coaching, although I am biased since David is the Head Coach. I was so impressed with him, David is a born coach, he loves the game and cares so much for the boys and it really shows. The kids absolutely adore him and he is like a celebrity off the field, they get so excited to see him whether it is at the grocery store or Kennywood, they flock to him. It is really great to see him interacting with the boys, especially Nathan, I know he really loves having David participating in his activities so much, if it's not baseball, it's Cub Scouts! I also want to include a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing family that really helped to support Nathan and David by coming to so many of their baseball games and cheered them on. We really appreciate the support and love you so much for always continuing to be so active in our lives. It really means the world to us that you come to their games, and have such a great time! We also had the annual Cub Scout Picnic in South Park this past week. It was another success as well. The leaders provide a tarp for the grove we have every year and secure it on the hillside where they cover it with water from the taps provided and bubble bath to make it a real slip and slide! It was ingenious, it keeps the boys occupied for hours and tuckers them out too. Kadence got into the action this year and went down the tarp a couple of times until she got a face full of water and called it quits. Good food, slip and slides, horseshoes, rope swings, Frisbee, bean bag toss, and great company made for a great day! Cub Scout day camp starts for Nathan next week, and if it is anything like the picnic he is going to have a blast! South Park offers a recreation program for the children who attend the South Park Elementary Center so we decided to sign Nathan up for it. What a great program! This week alone he has done Evans Park day, where the kids do tons of activities outdoors and on the fields, Rocket Day, where the kids build and launch rockets at SPEC, and Elementary Rec, where the kids get to play in the gym at SPEC. Capture the Flag was on Friday, but will be rescheduled due to the weather. Every week they offer something new to keep the kids entertained. Nathan is excited because he gets to see all of his friends and visit the school all summer. He gets so upset when school is over, this is a great way for him to stay connected to it and his friends. It's also fun because Rachael and I drop the boys at the activities and then take our daughters out for a little girl time. The park was their choice this week, next week we are taking them to the South Park Theatre to see The Princess and the Pea. Did I mention that Nathan earned Straight A's...again! Not one single B for my little smarty pants this year, we are so proud of him! We also received our wedding video this week, it was fabulous! We had such great talent at the wedding! The photographer and videographer really captured so many great moments from the day. Here are some of the highlights...
